I'm sure many graphic designers relate to having an album that you really love but you just really hate looking at the album cover. For me, it was "Violent Things" by The Brobecks. I know that they had no budget for designing this cover, so the frontman drew it himself. Which, while charming, is not the prettiest, and I think it really shows its age. 

I kept the same idea, but just made it in Photoshop instead of having it be an illustration. I fixed up the text a bit, and for the blue watercolor background I used a blue sky with clouds. I'm very happy with how it turned out, and now whenever I listen to this album I use a playlist I made with my cover instead of the original.
